|Anonymous: Hey, I really love your blog and you always come up with such cool designs! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind do a few for an oversized cricket jumper please? When you have the time of course. Thank you!!|
Sure! thanks so much for being patient, we are a bit busy rn x :)
So today is someone really special’s birthday!
I love words. It’s just something I’ve always appreciated, how some people can just put character combinations together and form something that’s both clever and beautiful.
Gabrielle is one of those people. She can just create amazing poetry with multiple meanings everyone can relate to. She’s said she wants to recreate T.S. Elliot’s honesty in her music—well, I personally think she does it quite successfully. She can actually make me feel what she is talking about, whatever it is, even if she’s explaining a situation I’ve never been through. I believe that’s because she talks about the feelings more than the situation itself, and that appeals to the human part in every single one of us: in the end, everyone has felt like that at some point.
Then there’s the music. She has a very calming voice, and plays guitar wonderfully. I’d like to say I can play guitar but I actually can’t, I’m not even close to how wonderful she makes it sound—and she makes it look so easy!
So I want to thank her. I want to thank her for every time I felt so many things at once I drowned in fire and ended up feeling numb but could somehow still feel her music. I want to thank her for every time I was lost and her music was my guiding light. I want to thank her for every time I was alone and her music was with me.
There’s a certain calm in the thought that someone has already felt the same you’re feeling, in knowing you’re not actually alone—don’t get me wrong, when you’re feeling down you don’t want anyone else to feel that way. But it’s comforting to think someone has been there and now they’re somewhere else. That’s one of the things Gabrielle means to me.
This picture here is an edit of something written on my wall. It has been there for a while, and I love it. I love take me away, I love english rain, I love gabby. I’m thankful all those things exist.
So happy birthday to the wonderful gabrielleaplinofficial, I really hope you stay around creating wonderful things for a while as you are very important to me and a lot of people:)
(Sorry for being so late, I’ve had a couple of busy weeks and I caught a cold so yup)
